News reports said that the system comprises of two main lines covering 42 km with about 1/5 th of it underground, will serve around 41 stations. While ABB will design, supply, install and commission 4 substations (each rated at 66/33 kilovolts) that receive and distribute electricity along with auxiliary and traction sub-stations, it will also supply products like transformers, capacitors, relays and the associated cables apart from switch gear.
